The Gallery has now opened its annual Artist Studio Clearance Event, with huge discounts on artworks both 2D and 3D.
This extremely popular event gives artists the opportunity to clear out their studios in readiness for another year of creativity, with older unsold works, studies, commission samplers and previous painting styles being promoted at incredibly reduced rates.
Grab a massive bargain while you can, as stocks are very limited and go fast.
Clearance includes: selected greeting cards, pre-made standard frames, limited editions prints, original watercolours/acrylics/mixed media, ceramics, 2023 calendars, cushions and canvasses, from over 30 different artists.
Framing Services(not included in the clearance) continue as normal, with a large range of mounts and mouldings, professionally produced to the highest standard with good turn around times.
The Gallery will be able to turn your framing jobs around in time for Christmas, we are also open every day now until lunch time-ish Christmas Eve. Sundays 11:00am till 4:00pm and Monday to Saturdays 10:00am till 6:00pm. Please see below for cut off dates for framing types.
Many people will be going away for Christmas week and will require their framing back by Saturday 17th – not a problem for us but I will need to get all orders in by 4pm on Sunday 11th, in order to complete them by 15th or 16th.
Hanging Services available until Friday 23rd December – this service is by appointment only
Normal Framing, replacement glass, mounts and repair and refresh, need to be ordered by Sunday 18th December (by 4PM) – these will be returned when ready between 21st and 23rd December
Cross Stitches need to be ordered by Sunday 11th December (by 4PM)
Box Framing for 3D work (medals, sports equipment, memorabilia etc) Need to be ordered by Sunday 11th December (by 4PM)
Canvas Stretching need to be ordered by Thursday 8th December (by 6PM)
Special imported frame mouldings and Canvas Stretching can’t be assured as we are reliant on 3rd Parties and Shipping Agents. Please don’t leave things until the last minute, if you can avoid it as due to the nature of natural materials, seasonal supply chains and unexpected errors, it’s impossible for anyone to guarantee all jobs will be completed on time for Christmas – but it’s very rare for us not to meet our deadlines.
Orders can still be taken up to 12 noon on 24th December by these will not be ready until mid-January

Cherrie’s largest artwork to date, Jackson, was one of the elephant sculptures in Worcester’s Big Parade art trail in 2021. Cherrie’s vibrant paintings are regularly exhibited at venues in the West Midlands and have been shown in St Ives and two London galleries.
She has been shortlisted in national competitions and is an ArtGemini Prize finalist

Complements to all those who submitted work to The Gallery Sponsored Art Classes at this years Worcester Show – a good turn out as I understand. The judges reviewed all the entries and selected their favourites on Saturday 13th August in readiness for the Show opening on Sunday morning.
A huge CONGRATULATIONS to all the winners, who we hope to meet in person at The Gallery in the near future.
Marta Turek – 1st Prize Winner of Class 801 Oils
Judges Comments: Well thought out portrait and design. Good handling of the media used and colours.
Andrea Crane – 1st Prize Winner of Class 803 Mixed Media
Judges Comments: Like your use of fabric and stitch to create a ‘painting’ well done. If you try using paint or inks as well as fabric and stitching the effect is even better, Do try it, Very Creative.
Elisa Wallace – 1st Prize Winner Class 804 Pastel, Pencil or Charcoal
Judges Comments: Great dynamic image, takes you straight to the eyes that you have captured well. Lovely use of your medium throughout.
Mark Harris – 1st Prize Winner Class 805 Sculpture
Judges Comments: Excellent use of materials, the mosaic reflecting the scales of the fish and movement of the water. Really good use of the 3D effect of the fish on the 2D background.
Sofia Lopez – 1st Prize Winner Class 808 Under 18’s
Judges Comments: Well drawn, well observed and so encouraging to see such skilful use of your medium at such a young age. I like to see good drawing skills as well as creative design being taught.

The Gallery has the pleasure to announce its July Meet the Artist Evening
Meet the Artist Evening with Watercolour Artist and Art Tutor Kirstie Trobe, on Friday 29th July from 5pm till 8pm at The Gallery, High Street, Pershore, WR10 1EU.
Meet the Artist – Kirstie Trobe
Kirstie is a Worcestershire based fine artist and art tutor, producing not just beautiful original artwork and undertaking private commissions, but classes and workshops too.
She has works represented at the Royal Society of British Artists Annual Exhibition at the Mall Galleries in London and has been selected twice as a finalist in the Broadway Arts Festival, as well as a very popular feature in the annual Worcestershire Open Studios Event (20th – 29th August 2022).
“I work primarily in watercolour, mainly from photographs (animals and children make poor sitters), and occasionally in pastel. However, underlying any work is the basic fundamental, drawing. It’s something that should be practised regularly so I feel very privileged to be able to transfer this skill from my drawing demonstrations in my art classes to a finished painting.” – Kirstie Trobe
The Gallery is pleased to announce that it’ll be open on Sunday 12th June from 11am till 4pm in support of the 2022 Pershore Open Gardens. This is in addition to its normal Saturday 10am till 6pm hours.

Pershore Gardens
Most years about twenty gardens open in Pershore. This small town has been opening gardens as part of the NGS for 50 years, almost continuously. In those days the open gardens were in the Georgian heart of the town but now, gardens open from all over the town. Some gardens are surprisingly large, well over an acre, while others are courtyard gardens. All have their individual appeal and present great variety. The wealth of pubs, restaurants and cafes offer ample opportunities for refreshment while the Abbey and the River Avon are some of the many points of interest in this market town. Tickets, which take the form of a map and garden descriptions, are valid for both days. They can be purchased a week before the event at ‘Blue’ in Broad Street or at the Town Hall. On the weekend they can be bought at Number 8 Community Arts Centre in the High Street and any open garden.
Gardens are open all over the town including Bridge street B4084, Broad Street, Newlands, Defford Road, Station road, Cherry Orchard, Priest Lane & Hunter Rise (off Three Springs Road).
