Framing of Christmas gifts or just a fresh start

A new year, a new beginning or even just a refresh. Whether you are framing a Christmas gift, the artwork you found in the attic when getting out the decorations, the cross stitch that has finally been completed or repairing artwork casualties, we’re here to help.

Beyond our usual framing services we also provide:

  • Re-taping, re-stinging and re-pinning (replacing old tape, glue, rusted nails/pins)

  • Refreshing (part framing using some of your existing material)
  • Cleaning (disassemble, complete clean, new tape/cord/pin, reassemble)

  • Gutter mounting for pastel work
  • Lined and washline mounts (by our inhouse professional artist)

The Gallery will be open from Wednesday 3rd January from 10am as normal business hours resume after the festive period.

Don’t panic Mr Mainwaring – we can still do your framing jobs ready for Christmas!

The Gallery will be able to turn your framing jobs around in time for Christmas, we are also open every day now until lunch time-ish Christmas Eve. Sundays 11:00am till 4:00pm and Monday to Saturdays 10:00am till 6:00pm. Please see below for cut off dates for framing types.

Many people will be going away for Christmas week and will require their framing back by Saturday 17th – not a problem for us but I will need to get all orders in by 4pm on Sunday 11th, in order to complete them by 15th or 16th.

Hanging Services available until Friday 23rd December – this service is by appointment only

Normal Framing, replacement glass, mounts and repair and refresh, need to be ordered by Sunday 18th December (by 4PM) – these will be returned when ready between 21st and 23rd December

Cross Stitches need to be ordered by Sunday 11th December (by 4PM)

Box Framing for 3D work (medals, sports equipment, memorabilia etc) Need to be ordered by Sunday 11th December (by 4PM)

Canvas Stretching need to be ordered by Thursday 8th December (by 6PM)

Special imported frame mouldings and Canvas Stretching can’t be assured as we are reliant on 3rd Parties and Shipping Agents. Please don’t leave things until the last minute, if you can avoid it as due to the nature of natural materials, seasonal supply chains and unexpected errors, it’s impossible for anyone to guarantee all jobs will be completed on time for Christmas – but it’s very rare for us not to meet our deadlines.

Orders can still be taken up to 12 noon on 24th December by these will not be ready until mid-January

The Gallery’s framing service is being received extremely well and the choice is now even greater, with over 150 different mouldings and over 60 mount colours to choose from.

Chris and Jilly expertly help its clients to select the perfect framing solution for their artwork.

Due to the small size of The Gallery, we produce the framing at our home studio, just up the road, where we’ve set up a ‘clean room’ environment to ensure a high level of finish and workmanship. We take great pride in our attention to detail, high quality of the end result, good turnaround times and client communication. After all, we are temporary custodians of clients precious and sometimes irreplaceable items.

The Gallery now offers a high quality picture framing service through its High Street gallery. Since the start of the year, Jilly and Chris at The Gallery have been providing a picture framing service with a great range of mouldings, mounts and glass for all framing needs.

Jilly and Chris will help you to choose the ideal framing solution for your artwork; be it modernising an old picture, replacing faded mounts or broken glass or simply a new frame for a canvas, an artwork or a presentation item.
